Anyone else have problems with coils like this?

Okay so i have a 96 Maxima 5 speed SE. I drove it 4,000 miles with no problems. One day car starts misfiring, ended up being a coil(#4). I replaced it with another(used) that i had......40 miles later same thing. I replaced it with another used.....40 miles later same thing. I replaced it with another used coil and drove it 1100 miles then same thing.....this time #4 and #1 went bad......i put 2 brand new nIssan coils and 1 mile later......same thing. I swapped out the ecu and put 2 more used coils in. Went 500 miles and yesterday the whole rear bank of coils burnt out. I'm pretty sure that everytime i have problems it was the warmer days of the summer hot/humid. Anyone encounter this? The plugs are new Nissan and other than burning coils it runs great. 140,000 miles

did you ohm-test them to make sure that they're actually burning out? Because, if you keep swapping coils out, and still get misfires, you might wanna look into the injectors possibly being bad.

I had tested some in the beginning put some that tested ok, didn't work on the car. That coil testing stuff isn't very accurate. Everytime i replace the coil the cars runs fine.....until a hot day and they burn out.

if you've checked the wiring (broken wires, bad ground) Then see if you're getting a spark from the coils in question. If you do, and it's still mis-firing, then it's the injectors.
