Don't cut the stock springs, and if your are gonna cut aftermarket springs you better know what you are doing.

I have to agree dont cut them its very dangerous, besides you can get springs for under $200 so whats the sense of cutting them ?

the only spring i would reccomend cutting is Intrax. I know two guys that cut them and had no problems with them, riding on stock struts!

Cut quarter coil on Progress Tech springs. Still rides nice and dropped it about an extra .3 inches to make it a 2" drop. I dont have stock struts though and I wouldnt recommend cutting much more than I did.

You need to just get yourself some aftermarket springs. You are going to be sorry you cut yours, your ride is going to be horrible, and so will handling, and so will everything else. Aftermarket springs are cheap, just buy some.

what would handling have to do with cut springs or aftermarket low springs???? the ride will be harsh, but i think if you car sits 2 inches lowered with cut springs or sprints or intrax.. you'll corner the same.

EVERYONE SAID THE SAME THING DONT DO IT, BUT I DID IT ANYWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay I did this post a couple of months ago. I was discouraged 3 times, not just that the local shop was charging me $95.00 to cut them but I did it for $6.00 myself. I ordered sprints no one had them in stock, then I ordered dropzones, so I put them on. So now I had two sets of springs, So I said to myself let me cut my intrax and put them back on and see what happens? Dude my ride looks tight rides nice and doesnt bounce all over the place like everyone said. One thing though what kind of springs do you have? See intrax sandwich up 3 coils back to back. I cut one out and I have a sweet looking ride. And if I was to buy a different car and I wasnt happy with the drop I'd do it again. I am not the only one here in the Org, that has done this, a guy name brianv and this other guy with a beige max has done it as well. Email me or send me a private message and Ill help you out. I did this 2 1/2 weeks ago thats why I am selling my dropzone springs I no longer need them.
