RPM Switch wiring

I can't seem to find any of the threads (or they don't work rather). How do I wire up a Summit RPM Switch to the VIAS on the 00VI?

The gray wire isn't used, because it provides a +12v (which is exactly the opposite of what you want in this case). All you have to do is hook up the following:

red = +12v (cig lighter works)

black = ground

white = tach signal from the white wire w/ green stripe on the ECU, or tapping the TAM screw at the back of the gauge cluster - i recommend the TAM screw method. that w/g wire is buried under a bunch of other wires and wiring it there would be kind of tricky.

yellow = run to the VIAS. Be sure to hook it up to the wire closer to the driver side fender. On my harness, this wire was skinnier than the other one. The thicker wire on the VIAS goes to +12v on your battery (put an inline fuse just to be on the safe side!)

Sweet thanks man!! I was trying to figure out how to wire up my summit rpm switch for my mevi!

Yes if the tach signal is on the left side of the ecu harness, all the wires from everything to the right of it run over it, which makes it a PITA to access. the TPS wire on my safc2 install was the hardest lol.

I guess for the MEVI, the yellow wire would go to the control solenoid right?
