new clutch

I have my trans out and am going to replace the clutch at the same time. My car is a daily driver and i don't really race it. What clutch kit would you suggest i get and where is a good place to get it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

when people say the stock 5th gen clutch, they mean the OEM one... one that you are not going to find at a part's store. get a hold of dave b.

wrong wrong wrong, the 5th gen clutch is made by exedy, when you get an exedy off of e-bay unless you get ripped off that's what you get, and for MUCH cheaper. I go directly through speedsolutions now, they are in lambert, ca, I've ordered exedy maxima clutches from them countless times and everybody loves them

But aren't the pressure plate and TB Nissan Parts? I know the disk itself was Exedy, but I thought when I put mine in the other parts were Nissan parts?

My bad on the misleading post there

The pressure plates aren't made by nissan either, on the 4th gen's they actually say unisia because that's who supplies the stock clutch on 4th gens, 5th gens say exedy as well iirc, but they are deffinitly made by exedy as well, the throw-out bearing isn't made by nissan either, actually none of the bearings on a maxima are, I believ it's ntk, I could be wrong, but you get the same one with the exedy kits as well. It's all good, I never knew that for awhile myself, I was probably a little harsh, I'm the king of recommending nissan parts for alot of things, the japenese make much more quality stuff than that made in the usa, german stuff isn't bad either (Bosch oil filters ftw!)
