160,000 miles too many to buy ??

bought to get a 3100 beater, with 110k. paint problems, o2 sensor, rotors, pads, etc.

i post it on here to get some feedback and more or less everyone said dont do it...

so heres another i found in my price range. well maintained (from what it looks like) but it has 160,000 miles.
that is a lot.....
is it worth considering?

As i stated in your other thread earlier this morning....BUY THE 99 FOR $800 MORE. It will cause way less headaches in the long run. Trust me.

160k miles isn't too much, just gotta look at the suspension and such. these engines hold up magnificiently so i wouldnt really worry about that. i'd grab the 99 either way though.

My 97 just turned 158K and it's doing well. Some stuff just fails though. Get the best & newest one you can afford ...but look out for coil packs that fail on that 99.

Even if they do, you'll still get your money's worth out of it, no problem.

yea. a 92 year old woman - bought the car when she was 82.

its scratched here and there, but for the most part its in amazing shape. brand new sumitomo tires. intact leather, sunroof, the works. the bose had never been used !

im pumped about modding this thing. blue book has it down for $7800 in "good". i bought the premium insurance this time. full coverage- small or no deductables. no more illegal-immigrant-hit-and-run-mishaps. here she is, named VICKY.

Yeah shooot... I bought my 97 with 307K miles on it... yes, three hundred and seven thousand miles. almost twice as many. And it's been nothing but perfect for me, I just rolled over 317K miles yesterday in barely over 4 months of owning it. So I'm still packin' on the miles....

So don't let the miles scare you

Yep, I bought my Maxima for 175$. 206K Miles.. needed a knock sensor, 2 new front tires, and he got backed into so the front right fender was scratched. replaced fender, knock sensor, tires, alternator to avoid mishaps. a total of 700$ and i have one sweet ride. for a first car. that runs maginificently, shifts flawlessly, and freaking GOESSS. yeah 110K? thats nothin.
