somewhere around 7200 rpms for daily driving ! unless im on my medication and driving slow which is not often. lol ! seriously, whatever sounds good you know. you cant get into a whole how things sounds to the public, lol ! downshifting at times, or even shifting early into a gear for a lower deep exhaust note.

I sometimes like to shift as smooth as possible, with no jerk. That would be between 2500 and 2800 rpm. Otherwise, like dude said, depends on the situation and if I wanna be a coolboy and all that =]

i think your misunderstanding, im not asking when its best to do it, i was just wondering what people feel more comfortoble with, i meant it so we could have a discussion. the reason why, my friend i noticed shift about 6000 rpms when daily driving, so i was wondering what other peole shift at.

btw on the stickies whenever i click on a link. the thread is either deleted, or it takes me to a thread totaly irrelevent to what the stickie was for?

I wish my car had enough torque to pull this off on a daily basis. My car is freaking bipolar. Some days it drives like a champ and gives me nice power in the whole RPM range and other days it lags until 3k. Drives me insane I tell you. You would think it was two different cars depending on the day. Oh well....

good god kid. you shift at 6k every gear all day??

i keep it cool calm and collective around town, shifting out of 1st to 2nd gear @ 4k... 2-3 3k... 3-4 3k.... 4-5... 4k? depending on if i have to go fast or not. otherwise i don't look.

wait, your friend shifts his car at 6k every time?? dude i wouldn't be his friend anymore

No offense bro but if your that sucky at stick that you cant FEEL when to shift then you should drive auto. Theres no set number that you should shift at, it all depends on the situation. Go out, feel the car, learn how the car feels at any given shift point and get used to shifting where your comfortable.
I've gotten into a Viper and expected to shift at 3k, 3.5k, nope, i learned as i was driving it sucks below 6k and shift are hard, so i changed my driving style. Point is theres no right answer, it all depends on you and how you want to drive it.

Sounds like KS trouble(not all the way gone but going out). Check codes

EDIT: Oh yeah, for just cruising around I like to shift around 3k. I don't like the way my CAI sounds when I bog the motor or shift under 2k...
