Wireless remote problems

Hey guys, I have a sort of unusual situation with my wireless remote for the max.

I have a bit of a routine, I still go to school,
Everymorning I go out to my car, unlock it, pop the trunk(using the remote), throw my bags in, drive to school
when I get to school I pop the trunk (sometimes with the button, sometimes with remote) and get my bags, close the door, go to lock it with the remote. heres the problem. the remote doesnt work now at this point. no alarm, no lock/unlock no trunk release. so i go and do it manually.

usually by lunch time (2 hours later) it works fine again for the rest of the day.

If anyone has had similar problems or knows what the problem is please let me know, i cant seem to figure this one out.

thanks

Simple thing first...when was the last time you replaced the remote battery?

are you having this problem with the factory remote or an aftermarket unit?

the fact that it doesnt work in the morning and then works a couple of hours later leads me to think that condensation from the dew in the morning is blocking or shorting something in the electrical circuit. then after a couple of hours the condensation evaporates and the system is dry.

just a hypothesis

or just replace the battery. sounds like it gets tired and reenergizes (dramatization). take baby steps

I replaced the battery and the same thing happened. It does make sense about the condensation. it only seems to do it on days that are cold or really wet. It there a way to fix this?

its hard to say. there are about a million different places for it to be failing. i wouldnt even know how to start.

i would just take it to a dealership and mention you are having condesation problems. and dont forget the KY jelly, cuz its gonna hurt.
