removing rear window help

To make a long story short my right rear window got shattered got a replacement from the junkyard.

Doing a quick search and looking through my Haynes there is a screw at the top of the partition that I need to remove so I can slide my new window in.

Only problem is I am not seeing this screw. Is it on the outside or inside of the door under the weather stripping? I have peeled some of it back and still have not found the screw.

Help is much appreciated.

Well got the window in and the regulator/motor bolted up.

The window wouldn't roll up all the way, motor sounded very under stressed. Took everything back off and reassembled it. Then leaving the window off tested the regulator and motor. This time it went all the way up. And when I went to go back down it won't move at all. Makes a noise like it wants too but just sits there.

It's a brand new regulator wtf is the problem??

the rear windows are tricky. ive done it plenty of times switching out tint and what not...

seems to me like the window is not in the correct slot and is probably binding up in the weather stripping. you sound like a smart guy so you've probably been working on it for a while, but it can get tricky.

i don't think the regulator is broken. make sure the weather stripping is in the correct slot in the rear and front of the window. and also slide the window into the correct slot. use a flash light and really examine the inside of the door.

well removing the rear window I played around with the regulator and reinstalled it without the window.

Plugged the switches back up and rolled the regulator up. It went all the way up without a problem. I hit the down switch and it's completely stuck won't move an inch.

For now I got my window ghetto rigged in so I can at least drive my car.
