VIS CF Hood help...

I got a VIS CF hood installed, and the place that installed it said there was no way to fit the factory hood struts w/o drilling in it and they didnt wanna do that. Does the hood need modification to fit oem hood struts? Also the windshield squirters are too big to fit in the holes that came on the hood. Do I need to buy new squirters somewhere? Any info on this would be great...

thx,
Matt

With the stock struts (assuming they're good), chances are the hood will bend either when you close it, or when it's latched, since the stock struts are meant to hold up a good 20 lbs heaver than CF.

you'll have to drill washer holes bigger unless u wanna get smaller ones and pmohr has a good point about the weight issue

if you are planning on making holes in that hood be very carefull because that fiberglass in the inner part of the hood is very weak. as for the water squirters, dont use a drill because the cheap clear coat on the hood will crack. Happened to my friend. use a screwdriver shapped file and grind the edges of the original holes slowly, very slowly, i did it and it worked perfectly.
