95-96 RED/CLEARS

Is any one vender better then the other to buy from for the 95-96 red/clear tail lights. I see about 6 different sellers on e-bay. I've not found them anywhere else.

THANKS.

Ehh....the red/clears for 95/6s are really pathetic...I had some for a short I emphasize short amount of time and they broke twice...the bolts that held it in broke....IMO stay with stocks or upgrade to 97/99 rear end...

good luck finding the older nicer davidL sets. you'll be paying a pretty penny for those. not that diamond cut crap.

another option would be to buy the all clears, take apart the housing, and paint the inner lower portion.

I have the David L's I bought off of an org member earlier this year and have not installed them yet. I was going to tint them but not for sure which route I will go. Right now all my stock rears are tinted on the car and I must say, doesn't look bad at all. The best route to go would be to find the David L's or like was said earlier convert the rear end or find clears.

If you have the money to buy the David L's, why wouldn't you just take that $ and do a 97-99 rear end conversion? 97-99 FTW!

Thanks for the comments everyone. As much as I want red/clears, I'll just stick with the stocks until I can find quality R/C's at a good price.

So many other things to do.

I have had a set of all clear outers for at least a year probably more that I got when Chillin014 found a few brand new sets. I just haven't gotten around to painting them.

I'm actually quite happy with the way mine turned out. I Couldn't stand the amber anymore, can't afford other tail lights, found a can of transparent red in the garage from redding-out my original MR2 tail lights, and went to town.

Go for it. I got mine from Custom Enterprises for $200 and they are the exact same parts that you buy now on ebay. The fittment isn't great, but they look fantastic - much better than the 97-99 stock ones or even the David L's. I think they only look really good on certain colors though, I have Pearl White. With Red LED tail/stop bulbs and silver coated amber bulbs, I think they are awesome.

The fittment is the only bad issue, but I actually ghetto modified the fittment with a small bead of clear silicone caulk all around so they don't leak. You can't see it an no water gets in. PM me if you want pics and you can decide if they look better than the "cloudy clear" stock types.
