Sea Foaming

I have seen many videos of this so called seafoaming. What is it exactly? Is it just for show or does it do something for your engine? Is it a powder, or wat!

what the hell is this thread? Another damn seafoam thread. No way you searched and didn't find the hundred threads posted and closed on this subject. It's liquid that cleans. People have not shown any pros for using this. I've heard more cons then pros so don't waste your money.

Lets this.

first of all i searched on google and couldnt find anything. i never knew there were threads for this, it doesnt help to ask first to get pointed in the right direction. so srry for asking first jerk. and im not worried about it anymore cause i did it this morning and it worked perfectly except for the fact that when i took the bb hose off the car stalled so i had to do it quickly but surely. i managed to use 1/8th of the can. i dont feel much of a difference. ah and one more question, when i filled up my tank this morning at the gas station i put in the bg cleaner, after i did that i did the sea foam. so my question is, is that going to hurt the engine at all? both at the same time?

no probably not. Just two things that don't really do anything at all. You'll be fine.

no i changed my post. Oil change is after auto-rx. Which is a legit substitute of seafoam. It cleans very well. You need to change the oil when you do the auto-rx treatment. You shouldn't have to change oil but you should have checked that before using it.

Thats wierd I searched and did the whole seafoam thing without starting a new thread. hmmm....

Anyway the car is supposed to stall. Thats why your supposed to hold the throttle while you do it. Also wat is bg cleaner? And if your really trying to feel a difference take off you intake and wipe you throttle body down real good. You'll feel an instant difference. I do this everytime I work on my car. Also if you havent already visit the DC section and introduce yourself in the noob thread. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=396878
