No you should do ovehaul it's better I did that to my second engine ..
I have three engines
One of them , the one camr from factory ..
The other one the one that I did my work in it ..
The third one I didn't use it yet and I only keeping it for spair parts ..
I affraid that something happend to my block or my head that's why I got the third one ..
The price depend if you wanna change all the things in the cover chain or not
Maybe you don't need to bore ..
But it's better to bore as I did ..
First think your car gonna be faster than usual the other think you will get the exact pressure of the agent ..
But you shoud get a new pistons and this will cost you alot
If I'm gonna do over all this time ..
I'm gonna get (1) rings ,(2)Overhaul Gasket (3)Main baring and connecting rod bearing that's all what you need ..
But be sure that when the mechanic open your cover chain he should put all the things in oil and the lifter too
Because these things are very sensetive in maxima ..
The first time I did over all I have lifter sound and the second time I have chain sound this was all because of the mechanic man not because they are old ..
Wish you all the best and sorry for my English .
