bad battery?

just in the past week or so my 95 seems to be having trouble starting. while starting it starts out strong then bogs down and starts all within about 3seconds. could this be a bad battery or a bad ground or possibly something else? the battery thats in there now has not been replaced since i bought the car about 3 years ago. the only reason i dont think it's the starter is because it eventually does start

yea battery. you are saying everything lights up ready to go at first and then seems to slow/dim before it starts in 3 seconds?

yep...it starts off normal, bogs down, then kicks back up and starts with a little rough idle for a second or so

Should have nothing to do with a battery/starter/alternator. It sounds like it doesnt want to fire., like its starving for air or fuel.

oh it starts normal. i guess i misread. i thought you talking about the gauges and interior lights starting up then boggin down. yea that sounds more like a fuel line issue. the engine is choking after it starts.

just got back from the local auto parts store where i had them test the battery and starter and the guy said that the battery is ok but he said im losing amperage somewhere in the start cycle. he said it could be a wiring issue somewhere. anyone had any issues like this?
