bought a 2002 maxima se

yup! didn't get out of the dealership until midnight because of paperworks and other customers being taken care off. i was initially there to special order a 2002 altima 3.5se but the finance manages said they wouldn't deal because there was a demand for them. i got the base se majestic blue w/ moonroof, splashguards, and floor mats. $118 over invoice. was it a good deal or not?

well, the car is really not for me. it's for my younger brother but i'll be paying half of it until he's done w/ college. i told my dad to get the 6spd but he wanted the convenience of the auto. so, it's an auto. however, it is quick. i haven't really taken in it to the extreme yet because it's under the break in period. he wants minor mods done to it. so, we'll just put a fstb, clear front bumbers, and a drop-in k&n filter. so, was it it still a good deal?

Congrats, $118 over invoice is fair.

2002 SE at $118 over invoice. I'd say you negotiated a FANTASTIC DEAL!! All the sales rep got was a "flat" (usually a $100-150 selling commission) Hopefully, you didn't let em make it upon the "back end" of the deal (i.e.high interest rate, extended warranty, sealants, service/maintenance agreement).

didn't budge for the extended warranty. i don't think it's necessary. the finance manager and the store manager got into a squabbling match due to the fact that they sold the car close to invoice. the finance manager actually insisted that we buy the 2002 maxima because they didn't want to deal w/ the new altima.

the dealer did not have any 6spds on the lot and the special promotion ends this month (84 month financing at 4.99%). trust me, if they had a 6spd on their lot, i could've easily convinced my dad to for that instead.
