bad smell in cabin

about 2 weeks ago i cleaned my floor mats and i guess they were not completely dry. shortly after i noticed a pretty bad smell when turning on the air in the car(a/c does not have to be on). it might be mil dew. So my questions is there a cabin filter? and if so how hard is it to change it.

thanks

probably is a good idea to replace it, the water would have evaporated and then condensed somewhere nice at night. I believe you just take out the glove box and the filter is behind it, i dont know though. I would maybe try running your heat with the windows open and the blower turned up, if you can stand it, to get rid of any moisture from the system.

It's not in the owner's manual because we don't have one..so to speak.

Our cabin 'filter' is not a serviceable item.

In the link I provided, only the lysol cleaning applies to you. Ignore the rest.

To get to the filter I speak of, yes you have to remove the glove box to make getting to the blower motor and filter a lot easier. But like I said, it's not a serviceable item, so I don't know why you want to access it.
