bZZZZZZZZZZZ If you've never done it (or even "really thought about it" as you say), don't spew random advice.

That window is a royal pain in the butt to remove and replace. The guide between the big window and little window has to be undone and shifted as much as possible..... this is way too hard to describe how to do. All I can assure you is that it can be done with time, patience, and basic tools. Just dive in, you'll figure it out. Everything is intuitive.

Sounds like advice to me. I'm not seeing "I bet" anywhere in the highlighted sentence.

Then dont post anything if you dont know what your talking about. I do not understand why people feel that they have to offer advice or suggest things about matters they have no experience in.

It is really easy, maybe a 15-20 min job.
Its been a while since Ive replaced one, but the small pillar that seperates the windows has to come off, I believe its held on by a small nut on top. If you start looking at it, you will figure it out.

Do you have to take out the main window (the one that goes up and down) at the same time?

Nope, main window can stay intact. Once you get it apart, (the rail etc etc etc) the little window can barely get out.

you have to take off the door panel and there is one bolt on the bottom 10 or 12 mm and a screw hidden at the top or the center rail have the sliding glass down before you take the door panel off though. i believe the screw on the top is behind your door seal. just psh the rail forward and you should be able to get the window out. i took mine out to clean all the crap out when i had a leak it wound up being the sunroof but i didnt know there was a drip rail going from the sunroof to the truck

take the chrome trim off, make a slit in the rummber at the bottom, and start pulling it up, work it all the way around or until the windows lookse enough to pop out. unfortunately gotta replace the rubber afterwards...i was forced to do this on a camping trip last weekend when my keyes were locked in the car.

I guess thats a good way to do it if you dont have any tools available, but with tools there isnt any need to destroy the rubber trim.

yes it is held with a small nut. it is really easy too. i took mine out when i tinted them and it was intuitive, like mentioned above. jus start taking stuff apart and ull figure it out. unless ur an ignoramous.

anywho how easy is it to remove the windshield and or rear windshield? i thought the glue held it in pretty well.......

They have to be altered a bit. I remember an old org member did it to the passenger side. He put a rear handle on the front passenger to eliminate the keyhole.

I did this to my 96 a few years ago. I didn't remember having to modify anything until your post. Now i think i may have had to. I'm going to look into this. I still have my 96 torn apart so it will be easy to tell.
