I think a thermostat that is stuck can cause that problem.

What is your temp guage reading? If it is stuck on cold you most likely need a thermostat.

Using my spidey sense i've determined that your heater core is plugged, but it could also be that your flapper valve's aren't opening, water **** is fuxord, thermostat is stuck, coolant level is low, and possibly some more that I can't think of right now.

okay so say my temp gauge is working correctly (i'm assuming you guys mean the coolant temp gauge).
don't think the coolant would be low seeing as i don't have any leaks anywhere.

so what/where are the heater core, flapper valves, and water ****? and how do i check those?

if the thermostat is broke, wouldn't the engine temp gauge not be working correctly?

try using auto set to 75+ to see if you're getting any warm air @ all (when the coolant temp gauge is at 1/4 at least)

not neccessarily, my t-stat was stuck open, and it took a long-*** time to warm up.

If the thermostat is stuck open, then he would eventually get heat out of his vents. I would make sure the control actuator is opening the valve for your haetercore. Hater core can also be plugged. I would look in that area first.

but if the heater core is plugged wouldn't that restrict coolant going through and cause the car to overheat abit??? heater cores are a ***** to replace also, so it sucks if that is the prob.

ya, i spent 3 hrs driving yesterday w/ the heater on the whole way and i was only getting room temperature air coming in.

is it hard to check the valve in the heater core? i'm fairly competent but have never had to work w/ the heater system before, so its' new to me.

just to make sure, set it to auto, and crank it up to the max! I know that using ECON will only yield lukewarm air.
