How do you fix the hazard switch

I was bored so I took it apart.

Now I can put it back together but I can't get it to click like it did before.

Any Ideas?

Wow, that was so very not descriptive.

Have you taken apart again and tried to fix it? There's usually only one way most of that stuff goes together.

hey white a32, take it apart and send me a pic of the pieces. I can give you step by step about putting it back together. same thing happened with me. theres a little white arm type piece that moves along a runner and needs to be positioned properly

oh dammit. that little pin thing is supposed to go on the piece on the left pointing down. it goes into the white arm and actuates like a revolver. so when you push it in it locks and push it again it unlocks. but that is broken so i think you need a new hazard switch. good luck

Yes that sounds about right. The pin is suppose to go in the white piece. When you assemble it back together, I found it's easier to tilt the white plastic piece towards either side and not have it centered. Sometimes when my hazard switch doesn't lock (stay on), when I open the switch up, I found that the white plastic piece is centered and not leaning towards either side so it won't lock/unlock.

lol this thread brings back bad memories.....if you broke the little black *** that slides into the white "revolver" then you cannot fix it and need to get a new switch, however, if nothing is broken then this just takes a few tries...put it together like people in this thread have suggested and try it, doesnt click then re do it...i did this by trial and error and got it working after replacing the bulb with an LED
