New CAI From Ebay

OK guys, I just bought a new CAI from ebay. The intake does have the 3 nipples as suppose to but im concerned abt the lil rubber hole. Its a piece of rubber with a hole through it. What is that?

that's where you put the intake air temperature sensor. that looks like the Bomz intake that I bought a while ago. For me, the IATS fit snug in that hole, hasn't fallen out since.

Looks like the same exact CAI I got from Flea-Bay; same cheap *** blue filter, too

The intake is great, but change the filter...

Better yet, don't use the included midpipe with the rubber piece. It actually takes away a couple HP compared to the stock midpipe. I have this intake and the sound is harsh enough with the stock midpipe anyway.

that isnt the CAI that would need you to cut a hole down into the bumper right?

The hole gets cut into the inner fender wall under the battery, not the bumper.

On my '95, it's a stuck right into the side of the airbox. it's a small sensor, two small screws hold it in, and there's a harness coming out if it, you can't miss it

Werd, just wanted to add that on 97+ it is in the tube before the intake and isn't held in by screws

i got the same intake too a couple years ago now, changed the filter right away, your IAC should be located (if i remember correctly near the bottom or back near midpipe on stock intake, after u find the 3 hoses its the last connector left if u still havent found it) i used the rubber that the new intake came with and its not loose at all. hope that helps

thanks guys, today I tried istalling it but the damn hose from the Idle valve was not connecting to the midpipe. so i just put back on the stock until i go to auto zone to get a correct size hose. Also i put in the intake sensor into the rubber but damn i really have to mash it in.

sorry i didnt get back to u guys. The install went great. But I didnt install the long pipe. I jus installed the short ram pipe with the air filter attach. Gettin ready for winter. I will try and take pics if it dont rain tomrrow. Just the one problem was puttin in the intake sensor, i had to glue it on with adhesive.

i put my iat in the rubber grommet also but i don't think it works in there b/c the sensor is not long enought to stick out the other side of the grommet to let the air pass through the sensor

i wouldn't go into too much work for it, it doesn't really do ****, just don't leave that hole open, fill it up with dirt and oil, that will clog it up lol jk don't do that..
