Question? can a 3.0 4gen chirp 3rd

Answer: Hell yeah

I read a thread a few month ago about whether a n/a 4gen with a 3.0 can chirp 1st, 2nd and 3rd. well I just went from a auto to 5-speed with a rps max series clutch and thanks to kkr350 and the answer is yes all day and this is with big ol heavy 18x8.5 inch rims

sorry Kev I just had to nail it once I mean it does have 350+ miles on it now

I find it depends on the road. Some roads chirp my tires easier then others. Personally i could chirp 3rd with all my current mods minus the MEVI. Ive yet to do it since, but i could only chirp 3rd on this one stretch of road i rarely drive on, the one time i got the chance to drive on it with the MEVI it was raining so i just spun bad lol. This is currently on a 5th gen clutch setup and fidanza flywheel

Ill give it a try once i get my new tires on

everything went together fine, only problem was the brake booster had to be replaced which was a quick fix and the clutch pedal had to adjusted alittle for my liking

I went with the stock flywheel, rps max series clutch (street disc with the max series pressure plate) rated at 470ft lbs

not really sure about the chatter never owned a stick before but kkr350 drove it and he said it does not but it will buck you around if I let off the clutch too fast or maybe it's just my lack of skills

I have a 97 5spd. wanna trade.lol. IMO There is not much difference except obdII/front bumper & rear trunk lights Maybe you should just convert. I am modding my 95 so I can pass emissions even if cel is set or the rediness monitors are not set.

does not make sense, it's the same bodystyle so what are you gaining

cause if it's lights or tweeter location and etc it's alot easier to change it than buy another car and remod it. whats the real reason

this is why my truck is a 91 I'll always pass hookup or not, pre 95 rules till I get my own inspection shop

Tires also play a huge roll, Clutch "grippiness" does too. Before id spin bad on the 1-2 shift, now with my new tires i basically only get 1 long loud chirp.

you can chirp 4th on your maxima eh? I didnt think it was possible NA. unless you have some crappy *** tires..or snows lol.

That's not how to tell if a tire has good dry traction.

Chirping this car in 3rd or even 4th is easiest with crappy cold tires on a not very grippy patch of pavement.

If you want a more mod-friendly car stay away from the 99's. They're closer to the 00-01 for electronics, coil pack problems, NATS etc.

98 is the best 4th gen year...
