Troubleshooting misfire in cylinder #2
Im getting a misfire code number 0607 along with code 0201. i know its not the coil in cylinder 2. i may be a short in the harness. Does anyone know how to test the connector for to see if there is a short. Perhaps with a multimeter. Im not sure how to operate one.

I have two maximas plus 6 extra coils, My mechanic swapped that one out with working coil from both maximas and the extra ones i have and checked for spark. None of them sparked or solved the misfire. This is a continuous misfire, while driving and idle. I

It could be a fuel injector.
Here is a simple test, if you are not already familiar with it...Go around and disconnect each injector one at a time, the ones that make the engine shake more violently are good...the one that makes no change in vibrations is the culprit.
But since you already know its cylinder #2, disconnect that one and see what happens

It's not an injector clearly guys!
There are steps in the FSM, with pics of the harness side connector & were to test for power & ground, download it from VQ35de.com/esm and print off the required pages & go from there..
None of them sparked or solved the misfire.

2: You need fuel, spark, and compression, by disconnecting one injector clip if the idle doesn't drop you aren't ruling out ANY of the three, it's only going to tell you if that cylinder isn't firing. Same thing with the much easier method of disconnecting the coil-pack.

Is it possible that the spark plug hole is stripped out?
Any chance the valve cover gasked for that plug hole is leaking? (shouldn't be related I suppose, but if it were filled with oil...maybe.)
What is the conditon of that spark plug?
Clean, fouled, discolored, damaged?
How's the gap?
How many miles on engine?
How many miles on those plugs?
What year is this Max?
