Cruise and radio related?

Quick question. I might be buying a 95 Max SE this weekend. The owner said the cruise control and radio both don't work. He said the cruise control was working in and out and now it doesn't work at all. I haven't looked at the car yet so I can't really say anything more about the issue. Not sure if the radio stopped working all of a sudden or if it just died.

Do both of these run off of the same fuse/relay? Are the radio and cruise related somehow?

A buddy of mine told me to check to see if the cigarette lighter works since it might be on teh same fuse/relay. And ideas?

They get power from different fuses. Speed control is a 7.5 amp fuse #12 and the radio is actually from 2 fuses (constant power from fuse #40 and with the ignition switch from fuse #21). It sounds as though you have two different problems.

all different fuses, check em all. sometimes the cruise control switch itself goes bad. if it's an after market radio, they have fuses in the back of them that can go bad.
