Strut Bar Again- IS it suppose to be Straight

OK GUys, BAck again, I put my strut bar on the front of the car and it fits but the question is. Is the bar suppose to be straight and flat or is it suppose to be a lil round in the middle. Bc i looked at other members strut bar and some of them are round in the middle, but mine is straight

Maybe you have a different bar? Post pics of it.

yes there are at least 2 types circulating out there

the earlier version (by CE and others of that time ) may have been built very straight, meaning the two tower mounts are connected in the middle exactly, and the bar is NOT raised

The later versions (my Vibrant) is connected a little back of the strut mounts and its also raised at an angle to completely move it away from the TB cables, EGR solenoid, and whatever else it may touch while the engine is rocking...i have seen this exact example with in my local maxima club...

yes i see how its mounted back, but wen i put it on the car i have to turn the bar around so the bar comes closer to the engine front so the mounts can line up to screw in. I bought it from ebstores, wen i looked at the plastic on the bar it said its for 89-94 max. I contracted the guy and told him they sent me a wrong bar, he said dont worry they fit on all of the them up to 99.
