Check engine light -
I need to change the by-pass circuit polution... Is this important?

Brakes -
My brakes in the summer appear to be overheating. Im sure its not "just that". Engine oil was put in the brake system (NOT BY ME). Ive changed 3 calipers, 4 disks and pads, and I still have an issue with brakes. On a really hot day, I wont even get a block b4 I press the brakes and the pedal has no pressure. On an average summer day, every time I press the pedal i have a different pressure. With pressure, the car brakes fine, without the car seems only 1/4 of the brakes is working (very little) and pedal drops almost to floor with little braking being done. I doubt the problem is the I have a brake fluid leak (fluid level is fine) and I'm sure its not air in the system since when i changed the calipers they bled the brakes and i still had that problem. I have not changed the master cyl yet. My guess is its the master cyl.... what do you think?

Bose Speakers -
My rear bose spkr is distorting a lot at a not so high volume (the bass). Would this be the amp on the spkr or the spkr? Did you see any for sale on the forums?

wow...
who put engine oil in the brake system? ive never heard of that.
if you are pressing the pedal and getting no resistance that is because there is air in the lines. bleed them again..and while youre at it REMOVE THE ENGINE OIL.

i have no idea what the bypass circuit pollution is . sounds emissions based.

and the speaker sounds like the cone is ripped. ive seen this quite a bit on 4th gens cuz the speakers sit, baking in the sun all day. the weather and temperature changes make the cones brittle.

Thx ....
The oil should have already been flushed.

I'm doubtful that the issue is air in the brakes. Unless something is letting air back in once they have been bled. I wonder if the lines got ruined? or if the master cyl could be causing this "effect"

N yeah, oil was by far not the brightest move by the person who put it in.

I'm thinking, change the master cylinder & flush the system again. Give us more info on the CEL code ...like the number

Look in the FS section for replacement speakers.

Accidentally putting motor oil into the brake system is bad news. It causes the seals to swell up and possibly brake sometimes causing leaks and what your describing. When you push on the brake the seals are just expanding instead of sending presure through the line. They system may never work the same without replacement. Start with the master and move on from there.

Good Luck!

+1

yea i think brake fluid is a hydraulic fluid. it has different physical compression properties than that of motor oil.
