Are J30 projectors any good?

I know I can pick up a pair of J30 projectors really cheap for a retrofit, but before I go and spend the money.. can anybody vouch for the quality of this cheap alternative? I'd hate to spend the money for nothing..

Thanks

You already said it, a cheap alternative. My friend has a J30. They're alright, but not as good as waiting and saving your money and getting some good projectors.

Save your $$ and do it right the first time
You will regret it when you cheap out and have to do it again

Yeah that's a good point. I guess I'll save my money then!

They'd be alright for a fog light retrofit. Money is better spent elsewhere for headlights, though.

Yea there was someone that did the j30 retro on a taurus the same time i did my e55 retro. And my e55 out shined his 10 times over. If you are going to do a retro get you some good xenon projectors and go from there.
