what kind of question is this?? How about first telling us what "heated" switch you are refering to. Then maybe someone can answer.

that would be an led. i believe they would be specifically sold through the dealership IF they're still made. They are freaky looking. The other option is you can put your own in by wrapping each LED lead around each prong.

read that
and yes you do need to put in a resistor if you change the bulb to an LED.

can you still just change the bulb out with an OEM bulb from the dealership. I would think that would be cheaper and easier for me. I don't like the technical electric stuff....even if people think it not hard.

I just changed mine...actually got a used switch from .org member, but the seat picture was worn off. So I took the base of his and the top of mine too make a good one. With the switch at room temp, hold the base of the switch in a vise, insert a flat screw driver to lift the body latch over the snap on one side then the other. Go easy not to break it. It is a 12v bulb, very small.

read that
some nice gentleman listed the radioshack #'s.
and IIRC you will need to buy the whole switch from Nissan to get the bulb.

alright guys, i went today to get the bulb from radioshack. I gave the guy the PN dat was shown on this thread, wen he typed it in, he said radioshack discontiuned them and they dont make them anymore. So whats next.. is there any other bulb that can fit. Im thinking of finding a regular 12 volt bulb similar to that and jus wrap it around the prongs

I'd find out from radioshack what they referred to it as, etc. all the info you can get.
I'd also check with nissan, you never know, they may be able to get it.
Junkyards also are a good bet.
IMO it'd be easier to put LED's in.

Got the lamps from Radio Shack tonight part# 272-1092 about $1.50 for two of them. No soldering required, a little care and patience and it's easy to change. Now good as new.

. Don't know, if I had to guess I would say yes. You are only out $1.50 if they are wrong.

When you take the switch apart there will be two parts to the switch one part will probably kind of fall out. Make sure you put it back together correctly, a bit of a pain, but if you are careful should be no problem.
