Megan can Mufflers and our cars....

ok. As some of you know. I did a y and a Magnaflow cat not to long ago. Not I like t he sound of the exhaust wen I am not it, but it just does not sound good enough when I am either revving it or at a normal driving speed RPM. This bugs me a bit too.. IT sounds nice wen it starts up and sounds throaty but I been hanging out with my suby buddy as of a late and he has been telling me all about Megan mufflers and how I should get that.

The only thing is... in my old opinion I thought those were the "vinnng vinnggg" type sounds... in cars i hated.... I hated those annoying sounds on civic and Integras.

DO u think that will happen on our cars? I kinda think it sounds like it but not as bad...

^ well thats good... I just it todays muffler market it is so funny that these companies want all of us to buy there stuff but provide no sound clips of what it could possibly sound like.. Yea... i kno. I kno. Every car is gonna sound different depending on the exhaust setup and the engine but at least these sites can give u a general idea on the sound of there product cause I know they have no return policy if you "don't like it". Even though u can pretty much lie about it when trying to return it to the vendor but good luck at getting you're money back..

Also they seem to come with silencers. I don't see the point of these really cause they still produce that sound just at a lower volume and it does not seem like you can just throw it on if your in a piggy area(near Donut shops) because ur *hit will be pretty hot to put the thing inside...

Also the state I used to live in next to me just passed a law saying that cops cannot give you a ticket for an after market exhaust. but they CAN still pull you over if they suspect you being problem matic (mainly cause they know we are all racers with those exhausts) So they can give us crap or ticket us for something else.

I think you commented on one of my videos. Anyway, I think it sounds good, i had a warpspeed y, stock cat, and megan catback. It didn't sound ricey at all, just get ready for it to be loud. Because it is a loud catback. Eitherway I like(d) it, its not installed anymore though.

Its JDM... I don't see how it would be rice unless it was an Ebay knockoff or something worse that is a bad brand that sounds like a fart can...

What kind of sound do you want?
If you want something with a nice tone go with Hks, cattman, or Remus Universal. I have Hks on my turbo Max and my boy has Greddy supercharged Max and side by side the Hks has a very low tone.. I have Magnaflow on my other Max and it's very loud.

The silencers keep the cops off of you....

I just want a mean more aggresive sound. In other words... I wanna here it at I drive by or just rev up next to someone while not on a load. It sounds so thin when I rev it but on a load it is fine.

Do you think a high-flow cat will make a difference for me in sound?

A cat will tone it down a little but the resognator and muffler choice makes the biggest difference. goto youtube and listen to some sound clips. The Hks has a nice tone and Remus(expensive).

Cattman

My system is way louder than all of them. I will try to shoot some video today and post...

I have the Warpseed 2.5inch Ypipe and Carsound 2.5inch Cat, 3inch B pipe 22 or 24 inch resognator with magnaflow muffler. And it's loud. Loud at idle and very loud at at throttle. I have to do a sound clip oneday. You have to hear my Magnaflow on my NA Max when I'm in Manhattan or when I'm going under a bridge or tunnel.

I didn't get a chance to shoot any video yesturday of my car. I will try again after the holiday..

Isn't the inlet's on the stock cat less than 2.5? If your not boosted, you want to go with 2.5 all the way. Get rid of the stock cat.

My system will sound different because i went with a 3 inch cat back.

Megan makes some quality products. Typically the pitch of their exhaust products are a little loud but they are well built.
