Do 1999 Maximas (sold in Canada - if that matters) have different ECU codes than other fourth gens? My ECU is giving out 05 13. I counted multiple times to make sure that is the right code. I can't find the meaning of that code anywhere (I checked the stickied links in the forum).

Any ideas?

So...just how sure are you it's 0513? Go to an auto parts store, get the P code.

 

You're best off bringing it to an auto parts store that offers OBD-II scans for free.

 

If it happens to be 13 05 that is "Fuel Pump Control Module". Get the Nissan specific code and we can check it against the FSM.

 

Hmm. I wonder if we have such a store in Canada.

 

Most 99's have Cali emissions, and yes they have more OBDII codes then are defined in the stickies or in the chiltons manual.
