Motor Mounts...Help!

Read the maintenance post about replacing motor mount due to vibration. The vibration is most noticeable when placing the car in reverse or taking off slow. I hear the usual chatter when taking off. I purchased the rear motor mount and was about to install it, but I wanted to pose a question to the forum.

Which motor mounts usually go bad to cause the chatter for Maxima's w/manual transmission?

Which mount needs changing most often?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Clutches chatter, not motor mounts.

You can check your mount very easily.
Place the parking brake on firmly.
Put the car in first gear and slip the clutch to put a load on it, watch your engine closely. If it moves or starts to lift up, you have a bad mount. Do the same thing in reverse. If the front lefts up, it's the front mount thats bad, it the rear lifts up, then the rear mount is bad.
