bad knock sensor?

car has been a little hesitant when i step on the gas and just feels slugish to me but i have no codes. im trying to find out if disconnecting the ks will turn on the check engine light or damge something. i was thinking of just disconnecting it because if its not working it shouldnt make a difference but if it is working then ill be able to tell wether it is working or not.

Well I thought that the ecu sees it's signal... So then it would probably run in safe mode unconnected. I say... if you are over 150k you should replace it since it's gotten so much attention from our model car. I purchased mine off of ebay for about 60-70. And yea, when i need to get on the gas, i can now. When the knock sensor is bad it feels like you are running a four cylinder civic.

no, it should not cause a change if you are disconnecting a failed KS

All A32 knock sensors are the same, only difference is the procedure on how to change them (re:99's)
