98' Maixima - 5spd - GXE - 83250 miles on the clock
Craigslist (Chicago!) $4750
no imediate problems, but I have since done the rear calipers, just (I mean I am still installing!) rebuilt the 5spd, and oil changes. She's been a great car and I like it a lot better than my 91' Maxima for sure! Now sitting at 105k on the odo and I still get that "new car" scent every now and then - amazing

1) 99 SE 5 spd in sterling mist w/cloth, 75,000 miles
2) Local newspaper Classifides. 1 1/2 years ago
3)$7500
4) NADA, passed MA state inspections the next day.
I cannot emphasize enough how far you will get with a little patience and a lot of research. It took me almost three months to find this car, but it's exactly what I wanted. NADA.com was an invaluable resource.

2) Local dealer. Went to test drive an Integra GSR that sold before I got there and saw/drove the Max on the lot - bought it the same day.
3) Paid 8k in June 2004.
4) O2 sensor replaced by the dealer (had a CEL when I test drove it), tires.
100k miles later it's still serving me well.

1. 1997 SE 5-Speed, all the boxes checked except leather and AT, Champagne Mist Metallic (hides dirt well lol), currently at 107K
2. Miller Nissan in Van Nuys, CA - Steer clear (see below)!
3. $26,800 (in August 1997) - still had factory plastic on the seats and under 10 mi on the odo
4. Originally: Had some minor body damage (gas filler door dent and scratches on front and rear bumpers) I'm assuming from the dealer lot (they fixed gratis). Later found out that there was more damage to the car than what I had seen at purchase (right rear fender has dent-puller holes over the wheel arch) - this is why I would suggest staying away from Miller Nissan.
Recently: Volume **** failed to work and #3 preset button fell off (replaced Bose with Alpine - very happy). The plastic piece that holds the 12V outlet broke (not sure what I'm going to do about that). Original tinting is staring to peel off (needs to be replaced). Replaced the axles at 97K. Added KYBs, Eibachs and SiverStars at 99K (originals were still good).
