3) Only a G. I'm a backyard rookie mech though and did all my own work and mods on my Durango and Jeep, so figured I'd give a Maxima a shot. This is MUCH more of a knuckle buster than the D or Jeep, lol

4) Power seats, windows, power door locks, clock, radio, horn, left power mirror, minor engine issues. Seats, front windows windows and horn are taken care of. Clock and radio still do not work even after a swap. Thought one of the rear coils may be bad, but no change in misfire after swapping out the suspected bad coil. I would be posting questions in the 4Gen forum, but its saying I can't start new threads.

 

NY used car dealership...I paid $6,000 cash for my 99 SE-Limited Maxima, all the options minus an LSD. Bought it in 2005 with 100K miles.

I got lucky finding this car too, cause it was everything I wanted and it only had a few scratches on the trunk and needed a new AC compressor that I just re-routed. The body is mint, a few dents on the rear bumper like maybe from him backing up into a sign? The antenna was messed up but that is it. Noting I needed to fix right away though cause the AC compressor didnt start making horrid sounds after about a month.

Craigslist, had to drive way the hell out of my way, but the car is in such good condition it probably would have not lasted had it been in town.

Asking price was 4000, I paid 3500.

Apparently the whine in my transmission is an input shaft bearing, the diff bearings might need to be replaced too, but at this point don't appear to be too too bad.

The sub's weren't set up right and the amp wasn't using the low pass filter, everything was coming out the subs. Even Tom Shane's voice from the shane company commercials on the radio would make my windows rattle. In about 2 minutes I set the amp properly and tuned it

Both fog lights were burnt out

The knock sensor was bad

Just for ****s and giggles I'm going to add a number 5:
5.) What did you do to your new car after getting it?

I washed and waxed it, got some leather wipes and made sure my leather was moisturized.

I tuned the subs and set my my radio stations and settings the way I like them

They said one of the remotes had a bad battery but in reality it just wasn't programmed, so I programmed both remotes in

checked the transmission oil

Changed the engine oil

Cleaned the IACV valve and TB

Checked the air pressure in all the tires

Did the above listed in number 4 as well as installed a cold air intake, did the fog light rewire into ACC power, and the brighter clear corner mod.

 

I'm not 100% on this. My brother bought it.
