I'm locked out of my car...
I lost the remote and looked everywhere.. no trace of it...
this is sad.....
anyone know how to get in my car?
without calling them 70 bucks lockmaster or whatever?

This happened to me at a hotel, and one of the bell boys knew exactly what to do. He used a coat hanger and popped that door right open from the top (about 2 minutes). He didn't scrape the car or anything, but the alarm did go off (not a problem because keys are inside). Sure, he was definitely a car theif, but that didn't bother me and I just tipped him $5. But because this happened at you house (I am assuming), you will have to call someone to come out there, so you might as well call a locksmith. I know it sucks.

All Nissan dealers have access to your keycode by VIN. Call your local PARTS MANAGER ask how much (I do em for free) Youll need vehicle registration and ID (proof its your car)...

have your mom or a girl call the police. if you're a girl, they always do it for free. if you're a guy, they'll say call aaa or a two truck operator....either way, the cops and the two truck guys has a thing like a coat hanger but meant for opeing doors and can do it in seconds.

oh, and thought i'd share this story real quick. my friend locked her keys in her 97 civic and was about to cry and call the cops when my girlfriend said, "hey, I have a 97 civic too, maybe my keys will work in your car!" Before I got a chance to tell her how dumb of an idea that was, she ran inside, grabbed her keys and....what do you know! It worked! Kinda scary....but I think that's just a HONDA thing...crappy cars.

illegal but that doesn't mean anything. I locked my keys in my car once and and some dude standing nearby saw me and said he had a slimjim in his truck, so he got it and took him 5secs to unlock the door.

That so funny some years ago (when I used to drive Honda's)a friend of mine ..we both had honda. One day playing with his car I put my key in his door and it open.

Tow truck drivers, police and even myself carry a "slimjim" (no not a beef stick), a flat bar thing designed to unlock car doors. These work great on many cars, however most cars with power locks wont allow you to move the rods necessary to unlock the door, and more importantly in your case Maximas, have plastic "shields" inside the doors making slimjims virtually useless. Securing your keycode and having a key made is generally the cheepest/easy way in. Everyone should know and store there keycode in a safe place. It can save your a$$.

Speaking of Honda's My friend locked his keys in his 85 toyota tercel, and my other friend with a civic came up and was like let me try this. He puts the key in the door and no go, he then goes to the trunk(advised that there are some tools in there to get in), puts the key in the trunk hole....and you guessed it. Pop goes the trunk and away we go

That's what was so great about the trusty Oldsmobile Delta 88 (1984 model baby) The gaps between body panels was wide enough you could damn near get a finger in there. Used to lock my keys in there on purpose sometimes when playing ball...kinda hoped someone would steal it

Tools needed:screwdriver(flat) and metal coat hanger

1.)Take coat hanger and straighten, but leave a 1 inch 'hook' at the far end.
2.)Take screwdriver, look inside at where the door switch is and insert it in between the door and the weather stripping.
3.)Using a gentle straight up and down rocking motion, push the screwdriver down, and at the same time insert the hanger with the hook being put into the car.
4.)Once hanger is low enough to get to door panel where power door switch is, gently and slowly pull the screwdriver directly towards you.
5.)Play with hanger and try to hook it into the space under the door lock button (on the bottom).
6.)Once there, push hanger straight towards back of car, while hook is still in that little space.
7.)Doors will unlock.
8.)Smile, having saved 70 bucks.

HOPED SOMEONE WOULD STEAL IT?!?!?! Oh man. I could never say that about my 1984 Delta 99 Royale Brougham ( Two door also, never seen another one). That car was my baby and the amount of care that went into that car was unbelievable. Yes it got beat on (three tranny's many brake jobs, MANY tires) but it will always be one of my favorite cars. Some of the best times of my life were in "The Delta". Was yours fast too? I raced many Deltas before and mine blew them away. No idea why but it was faster than the others. It would even blow doors off the local camaro's mustangs etc around here. Very deciving car. Long live that 307 under the hood.

Two door eh? Never saw one.... I just said that because i was like 16 and it looked like a POS so it wasn't the greatest chick magnet (which is the only thing that's important then!) so I only started loving it when it went away I look back now and realize it was such a BA car. It hauled so much, man...I remember 8 of us comfortably going to a concert (2 in the trunk!) in that thing. I went through back right tires like it was my job. Everybody always called it my brown car, wehn it was supposed to be maroon hahaha Yes, "The Delta" was awesome...I just didn't realize it enough then.

Most cars made within the last several years have plastic bushings around the connecting hardware from interior door lock switches and the external keyhole cylinder. I have seen the slim jim used where it requires alot of force to pull the plastic bushings loose to get to the hardware to pull the lock open. After this happens, you will need to remove the door panel and put it all back to together and depending on the force used, order some new plastic bushings. Your best bet is Medisonic's method, which from reading it, is to come in from the top of the door.
