Bulb options after corner rewire.
Bulb options after corner rewire.
I just did the corner rewire with the 'nip the nub' method, but I am not happy with the way the bulbs feel loose in the socket, so I think I will resolder the wire like in the Maximadriver How to. I did a couple of searches but couldn't find any bulb recomendations other than the polarg hyperwhites.
The corners definatly look better, but they are just to bright. Now the corners look like another set of headlights. If the stock 1157 'bright' filiment is 27 watts then the polarg hyperwhite 21/5 should be just right, unless the Polarg 21 is as bright as the stock 27. But none of the local stores carry anything like these, I found some on the internet but over $10 each is a little steep for light bulbs that normaly cost about $3 for two.
None of the bulbs in the autoparts stores list their wattage, do any other bulbs fit the socket that are around 20 watts? Or does anyone else make a 21/5 bulb that an auto parts store might carry? I don't think I need the 'white' bulbs, just something around 20 watts should work fine.
