egr guide tube. and to make things fit you'll probably need a midpipe for your intake instead of the stock resonator box.

also if you don't want to deal with tuning or running rich, you can reuse your 4th gen fuel rail and injectors only if you rotate the 4thgen LIM 180 degrees and drill corresponding holes to fit the 5th gen UIM.

egr guide tube from a 5th gen? is that it?
i wanted to use the LIM from a 5th gen because i didnt want to be drilling holes and tapping the 4th gen manifold. its easier for me to get it tuned later on, i was planning on doing that anyways.
i already got a CAI.

That is it, or a block off plate.

Drilling and tapping was easy as blueberry pie by the way.

Check my thread in the all motor. I kept the A32 rear valve cover, coils, LIM and injectors though. Still lots of links. Definitely read Ceasars thread and Tatankos website(www.geocities.com/tatankoz)

...is it bad that I have that address memorized...?

i feel that that the only thing that im going to have a problem with during the install is the concection of the vaccum lines and wiring. ive read that you tap into vaccum lines and have to modify some connections to make it work is this the case is it as difficult as i think it is?

you need an egr guide tube from a 2001 if your going to take out your EGR system.

if you are then you need the one from a 2000

Not hard at all. Check Tatankos site. Also check my last post to my thread, pics of me installing the EVAP nipple on the top of the TB.

I'm in the middle of my swap right now...I wish I had know about all of the stupid vacuum lines/coolant lines to mess with. It's just such a pain trying to remove 11 year old hoses that seem to f***ing glued on. There are also injector harnesses to splice if using the 5th gen LIM, but that should be no big deal. I'm going to solder and put heat shrink on them.

I figured out that there is a coolant line than runs thru the stock throttle body, and from there it goes to the back of the manifold and then back into the main coolant tube. Well since I'm blocking off the 5th get IACV, I don't need any of those lines. I'm just running a line from where it enters the stock TB to where it exits the stock manifold. Sorry that's a terrible description, but I don't know how to say it....

Also there are at least two vaccum lines that I can think of (from bottom of stock tb and bottom of stock manifold) which now have no home. I'm going to tee them and then tee that with a third vacuum line and run them up to the little nipple on the UIM.

In the end, It's not too big of a deal, it was just unexpected for me. Just make sure you buy plenty of vacuum line, fuel line, other hoses you may need and probably some vacuum tees.

None as of yet. There is a link in my thread to a very nice setup, don't remember who did it, but I followed it and it works great. He has multiple pictures of how to modify the plug.

And new gaskets. Thought I could get around buying new ones but I was wrong.

How many did you need? Turns out I only needed the LIM to UIM gasket. TB, VIAS and all are good for me.
