Installed CAI, need opinions ...

Whats up ladies and gents, i've been a member for a while but I barely post lol. I'm more so just a reader than poster. Anyway, recently I got rid of my 5th gen and got something else (i'd rather not say). To make a long story longer, my brother has bought a 4th gen and i've been helping him mod his car. In my 5th gen, I had a short air intake (berk to be exact). In the 4th gen, we decided to go with a CAI. I installed the CAI perfectly and everything has been working great. My only concern is puddles and rain. I know he has to take it easy when it rains but are there any other precaution he should take? The car has stock springs, and he just bought Tein S techs. I know this will drop his car pretty low but last thing I want is for his engine to suck in water. What do you guys recommend? I'm open for opinions.

What 'CAI'? The only true CAI for the A32 is the PR and PR knockoffs.

The only way you're going to start sucking in enough water to hydrolock is if you submerge most or all of the filter. At that point, with most of the 'CAI's, you'd have the cabin half full of water.

That pretty much clears everything up. Thanks.

I know it's not a true CAI, but it doesn't make any difference anyway. The car is a daily driver, so nothing special. I also know there are no gains off after market intakes, he has the intake STRICTLY for the sound.

Ah, I remember those days.

Then again, I still haven't replaced my hacked airbox for a pristine stocker...
