Clarification on 98 (97-99?) GLE wood trim

GLE folks, does your wood trim go all the way up the center console, or does it stop at the radio?

Are you getting it from Joshua Tree? I was quoted $85 for the 3 remaining pieces in the center console.

there should be more pieces such as: vents, window switches, under dash, upper radio to make our maxima interior complete.

$85 seems to be high, try to look for $50

I would like to know also. My wood only goes up to the radio. If the Joshua Tree pieces match, I will order them.

However, I have seen pics from Cefiro catalogs with pics of the wood going all the way up to the vents.

I'd also like to finish off my center console, but it isn't worth $85 to me.

This is to clear the issues regarding the GLE wood-tone. 95-99 GLE's only have the wood peices on the window switch panels, Shifter Bezel, ash try, storage tray and around the Bose Unit. The black trim is around the Auto HVAC and Clock for all 5 years.

Nissan confused us in 1999 by printing up catalogs with GLE trim that
goes all the way up to the clock. However those mysterious two peices NEVER made it into production and aren't available through Maxima parts.

However, if you want those two peices that every GLE onwer dreams about I recommand you order the wood-toned I30 Panel for your Auto HVAC. And the single wood-toned peice around the clock made it into production with the Cefiro. My only question to you is where the heck do you order Cefiro parts? And I can't guarrantee color matches, but I do know that the GLE tone and I30 tone is very similar in color.

GXE & SE folks don't have much of an issue cause the dash is simply black.. In 1998 Nissan produced a geniune wood kit. (For those of you who have seen it the Nissan Badge is embroided into the shift bezel.) It does a great job covering the black peices on your dash.

Here is a picture of a 1999 GXE interior with the geniune kit.

I hated the wood, couldn't wait to get Carbon Fiber kit.
