Where to buy OEM/stock replacement catback?

Hi, my stock catback is rotted out and i'm interested in purchasing a new catback. I'm not interested in anything louder than stock. I found a replacement muffler on ebay, but have no idea where to buy the b pipe. Anybody care to point me in the right direction? Also, how much would I be spending for the whole thing?

Not going to the dealer

I'm tired of having a loud car, I just want something quiet...the gain from a catback isn't enough to justify the sound increase IMO. Plus i've been getting pulled over for bull**** waaaaay too much during the past couple months and i have a feeling that my car looking/sounding modded has something to do with it.

why dont you just get a custom b pipe bent out for you and have them weld the stock muffler on, morehouse welding will do it for like 50 bucks, if that

Just go get estimates at several exhaust shops. I know Midas does it for around $200 for a catback, piping and labor.

$50 sounds like just a muffler install, either that or they do crappy work. ORRRRRRR they are really nice to their customers and want them to keep coming back!

I just got the stock replacement off of ebay. It's very quiet. I think it was $165 shipped, that's the B pipe with resinator and the muffler section. I think what everyone is forgeting when they tell you to have one bent at a shop is that you still need a resinator or it will not be as quiet as stock.

Cattman B + 5th gen rear section.

It is relatively quiet as the 5th gen rear section is no aftermarket muffler.

I just want to put it on and forget about it, i think buying a stock replacement is a better idea than having one custom bent in my case. Saw a new stock muffler on ebay for about 50 shipped, and found a new b pipe at autozone for 167. That wouldnt be that bad. I'll try to find a deal like cardana found.

Cardana24, do you have a link to an exhaust similar to the one you just got off ebay? That seems like a great price.

here you go
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-19...em190190324371

this is the same one I got. I also got a tip to go on mine so the final cost was closer to $200 but if you don't care about that you can get that one for $160

Wow thanks, ive been searchign ebay for weeks and never saw that! It doesn't matter that my car isn't a 95-96, right? I have an early model 99, so 97-98. If i remember correctly, the 95-96 are just a little shorter, is that correct? Thats a great price. In person, does it look like it would last at least a couple years without rusting out? How's the fit?

I thought the hangers may have been different too? I'm really not sure. You could try writting that seller and ask he he has a 97-99 exhaust for sale.

IIRC, the 97-98s have a little piece between the cat and b-pipe (i think an o2 sensor plugs into it).

Ok thanks guys. I asked the guy a question. Either way, it shouldnt be that hard to mount it up even with the different hangers.

He wasn't answering my question, so i figured i'd just order the 95-96 one, it says in the auction that it includes an extra pipe to extend the catback, maybe thats what makes it fit the 97-99 models. I'll post up a review of it once i get it installed.

I did not get an extra pipe with mine. Just the b-pipe, and the muffler, and the two gaskets. hopefully you will get what you need.
