Good job, I paid $25 for mine from Summit. I guess you had to drill holes in it? I ended up doing that to my Summit one anyway because they sent me the wrong one.

yo newbie green pupil I will answer your question, intake adapter allows you to make custom made pop charger for your maxima, so you can remove stock air inbox, mount in its place air intake adapter then mount on it air filter conic shape!

Hope it answers your qq? Any other qq from you?

ok, I went to Ace, I asked people that worked there about this and they looked at me like I was a retard. WHat is the intended purpose of this "air intake adapter" obivously if it is in the electtrical isle of a home hardware store it isn't designed for a maxima. please give me other details then an 89 cent part, nothing in ace cost 89 cents. please. is it an electrical box modified to be an air intake. please post a pic or give a better description. I would appriciate this very much

Go to homedepot.com and search for SKU #954462.

This is gotta be a worst designed site for linking to on this planet... so just go there
in search (in the top right corner) type in "Home depot's website sucks ***". then click go. On the resulting page in the top left corner search box type in the 954462 and select SKU then click go. Agrhhhh... too much caffeine... 71 cents.. 4" diameter

Home > Online Store > Electrical > Covers-Boxes > Metal Covers > 4 Inch Covers

I think it's less than 4 inches in dia... it's a 4" Square ... hole should be about 3"

There are a ton of mods that can come out of basic hardware store supplies. It is just a matter of imagination.

kevlo911 (or anyone else)

I'd be very much interested to see your 'ACE' install for your cone filter.

Any pics yet?

I am definitely gonna stop into Home Depot or Ace tomorrow and purchase me one of those bad boys. I assume Ill have to drill 4 holes into the plate in order mount this piece around the intake hole right? Once thats done, all I gotta do is connect the filter. Sounds simple enough, lets see what happens...

What is the best filter to use, dimension-wise? Should it be tapered or straight cylinder type? Anyone got a part number or something?
