Best springs to lower?
Best springs to lower?
Here in Montreal, because of snow, half the year you can't drive with a car lowered. But I was told that I could get adjustable springs to lower my car. What are the pros and cons to lowering and should I. I htink it looks dope, and it's not too expensive.
Anyways thanks guys

Ground Control Coilovers are my best bet. they are adjustable, so you can lower them 1 inch, 2 inch, so forth. they use eibach springs so they're very good quality. i belive they're around $400 for a set of 4. hope that helped a little...

Coilovers...
They are called coilovers. True coilover which include struts and run about $1500, and you can adjust them to the point where your car will scrape the ground. However you can get some "half" coilover setups which only include the springs & mechanism. Ground Control makes them for $400, and Weapon-R for $250. Most people tend to go with Ground Controls, I think only because so few people have the Weapon-Rs. Anyways, you can adjust both from a 1"-4" drop, and they can be installed on your stock struts. However don't think adjusting the drop is simple. You have to jack up your car, take the wheels off and then adjust them (I'll let someone else tell you about the pain). The con would be that they have an exceptionally harsh ride, but I suppose if you like that they are very good. They should fare well up in Montreal.
