clear lenses = amber/yellow bulbs, amber lenses = white/amber/yellow bulbs. these can be gotten at any local parts store, however, for specialty bulbs, i always order mine from automotivelightingusa.com. they a wide selection ranging from chrome painted bulbs that light up a different color, etc. hope that helps.

The part that stays lit = 194 "peanut" bulb
The part that flashes = 1156 ( single filament)

these can be bought at any auto parts store... even gas station sells bulbs.

Sylvanias for the 1156s for i think 20 bucks, and then for the 194s i went to sears auto and bought amber ones for a dollar. I use the same sylvania bulbs in the back as well.

so the 194 lights
if i switch to clear lenses, ill buy amber 1156 bulbs for the ones that flash, but if i was to buy white or blue 194 led bulbs would it matter as opposed to amber, they are the ones that stay lit right so? i think blue might look cool unless it causes me to get pulled over haha, i can always just buy amber led 194's and then get the blue led 194's and test them out, they're cheap on ebay anyway

You can go to Autozone and get some 1156 Silverstars for around 11.99. As far as 194's go, you can get them to at autozone.

For the 1156 Amber's, I'm going to get product number LB1156A
From http://www.lightlens.com/coloredbulbs.htm

As for the 194 Amber/Blue I'm thinking about going with these from Ebay
Blues LED
Ambers LED

Just a lot cheaper than the Silverstars

I just reused the clear bulbs that were in the stock bumper lights. Either way it is illegal since you no longer have the orange reflective lens, so I figure what the heck.

Depends. In Alabama all front lights besides the headlights have to be clear/white or amber. For the rear side has to be red. I had blue leds for my bumper lights and had no problems, but depends on which cops decides that he wants to be picky.

I'm guessing its like that here too.
I mean, I've never seen anyone put blue lights in their, every one has the ambers or orange reflector anyways its not a mod you see very often. Which is why i want to do it. The inside of my car lights up with a dome light that is blue led, with red lighting up the floor under the dash. So for the outside I was thinking, the nice blue running lights would look nice because im going to try to install blue LED blinkers on my mirrors too.

the blinker though for the front signals would be amber of course though.

i would love to be ableto make them a different color like red or blue but .. i dont think that would be anything close to legal, too distracting to other drivers

I use a regular clear 194 for the parking light and one of those chrome bulbs that lights up orange for the blinker.
