I have an Apex Universal Dunk muffler on my 96 Max with stock exhaust piping. I have a leak in my "resonator pipe" and the muffler shop wants $200 for a new pipe. Is this the B pipe? Can I just get a Stillen or Courtesy B pipe to replace the one with the leak? If so, how much is it and where should I get it? Thanks.

 

The B-Pipe is the Pipe in between your Catalitic convertar and your Muffler.Theres a a reasonator located there.Get a B-Pipe from stillen for the same price call them up at 1-800-576-2139.

 

The stillen or courtesy b-pipe's are nice units, but they are not worth the extra $$ unless you enter the car in shows or stuff like that. They give you ZERO performance gains over aftermarket replacement pipes. $200 is not a bad price if that includes the install + a lifetime guarantee on the pipe. The retail on the pipe alone is over $100. My advice.... let the shop do it and make sure it comes with a lifetime guarantee. If it ever goes bad, they will replace it for free.

I never heard other wise?? Plus it will add sound quality {good or bad depending on your taste} and it is made out of stainless steal and will last for ever{or for as long as we are around}.
