Does anyone else have this problem?
I lubed the hinges and the "plunger thingy", but it's still quite stiff.

Anyone know of a fix?

Same problem here. I tried WD-40 but it didn't help. I rarely open my rear doors any way. I think they are just stiff.

Try using regular wheel bearing....

grease. My left rear door became stiff to open/close and a light smearing of grease on the doors "check link assembly"
as Nissan calls it in the FSM did the trick after a few cycles of opening and shutting. WD-40 is great on some things but not on high pressure friction applications like the check link gismo. Use light oil on the hinges. I use motor oil, very little is needed.

My doors did that too and then I finally had to replace them because they went bad. I think it is a design fault.

I have the same problem with my doors, I thought maybe it was because I never open them.

Also, the child lock on the rear passenger side door always turns itself on. If someone actually gets in the back seat, then they cant get out

Same problem, tried many different lubes, still are hard to open and close. We don't use those doors much anyway.

I had a problem with one of mine, and I figured out it was that the "track" (the part that slides in and out) wasn't screwed on tight. This was after trying all kinds of lubes - don't I feel dumb. I screwed it down and now the door moves much easier.

That's an A4, not an F4. Obviously, the pic is a joke (I remember when he photoshopped it).

For my car it was the hinges going bad. I replaced both of them after a while and now the doors are perfectly fine.

re: MarkP

Actually it's an A7 Corsair, not an A4 nor an F4. a) the is *ABSOLUTELY* no contest in a race of this nature. b) Jets *NEVER* fly that low. c) finally, that is obviously a photoshop job.

Thanks for straightening the record Micah95gle. Obviously
I mean it to be a roadkill joke. But apparently not obviously enough for someone like maximaisokayjohn!
