97-99 front end conversion?

I'm wanting to change my 95 GXE to look like the 97-99 SE with fogs. I've been looking everywhere for a bumper cover with the foglight holes already cut but, the only bumper cover I'm finding are the GLE with that little strip of plastic where it should be cut for the fogs. What I'm asking is IF I bought that GLE bumper, could I cut that little strip at the fog holes and it not mess up the bumper or would I just have to buy the precut SE bumper cover? If I have to buy the precut SE bumper does anyone know where I could get one thats not asking a fortune for it? Please PM me or email me at barlow324@hotmail.com - Let me know? Thanks

im pretty sure u can just take a razor blade and cut that piece off, no damage done.

but...
if i remember correctly, the gxe doesn't come with the foglight wiring harness behind the bumper... so u'll need to buy that too.
someone correct me if im wrong

Just cut it and clean up the edges.

Otherwise, you can pick up an SE bumper on eBay for relatively cheap, I guess. Junkyard, maybe?

For the wiring, look no further than Courtesy:
1997 to 1999 Maximas are pre-wired for fog lights (except SE and GXE A/T models without factory ABS, VSS and a Driver's Power Seat), no additional wiring is required.
The harness connectors are taped to the harness just inside and above the LH (driver side) and RH (passenger side) fog light openings.

Yeah my GXE has the cut-outs. I think you're right on there being no wiring. If there were, I'm sure my brother would have already put fogs on when he had it.

actually the car comes with the wire harness for the factory fog, i have a 98 GXE and wanted the factory fog look. the good thing nissan did is pre-wire all the vehicles the same to accomodate changes. even the wires for power seats, and for a spoiler is pre-wired in there. trust me, the only thing i havent put on my car like the SE is a sunroof. (shoulda gotten a damn SE i know). but i wanted a 5 spd. but from what i know the only thing u really need is the bumper, and the grill, everything else should fit. the stillen kit looks better on the 97-99, if thats the reason u going with the conversion.
