brake problem

My e-brake i think is messed up. it makes a grinding noise sometimes. you can be just driving doen the road and it that noise will start. it does it when you are going any speed not even touching the brake pedal. i checked the e-brake cable this morning and it looked good. but it is a brake problem because when it is making that noise it is dragging. please help it is hurting my gas milage.

maybe your spring in the back snapped

take a look back there carefully. Also, look at the pads, make sure they are still good.

disconnect the e-brake and see if you still have the problem. If so, you prolly have a bad caliper.
