Let's play name that part (intake)

Hi guys,

I can't identify what this first thing does...it seems to be an interface between the MAF and the rest of the intake...I don't have an actual picture of it, but here's what I'm talking about from the FSM. It is black plastic, and is supposed to have a nipple facing the front of the car, to which a vacuum hose connects directly to the engine. What is it called? The nipple broke off and the hose now just swings free.

Also, what is this brown connector for that looks like it comes out of the fuse (fuseable link?) box in front of the battery. I looked all around and couldn't find where it connects to. It has only 2 wires, so I'm assuming it's power to something.

Any help?

Thanks!

First one is a resonator.

The second one looks like the connector for the hood switch for the alarm

Hmm...do you happen to have this resonator for sale?

Also, can anyone else confirm that the brown connector is for the alarm? If it is, where does it plug in to? I have a factory alarm (which is kinda busted - I can only make it go off if I open the trunk w/out first unlocking the doors with the key)

Thanks!

Crap, now I'm confused. If it is the alarm thing, where do I connect it to?

How do I find out if it's for the lights. Also, i'm guessing that means I can add fog lights later if I wanted. If this is true, what else would I need for this?

Check the wire colors in the harness.

Fog harness would be taped down to the turn signal light harness behind the bumper, not up and exposed next to the fuse box.

Barring any random sensor you have unplugged, I'm positive that's for the hood switch, as seen in front of the battery here, and at the far right here.

it is the alarm plug for the hood pin. fog lights have a totally diff plug and are MUCH longer. (since it would have to reach the fog lights)

Hmm, it's kinda hard to see, but this plugs into the circular part at the very front of the engine bay? Is that correct?
