How do I tell an Auto ECU from 5spd ECU?
I just bought a 5spd ECU to replace my auto ECU to kick that pesky CEL out of the door. I left the 5spd ECU on one end of my work bench with tools and the auto on the other side of the bench so I would know which was which. My father went into the garage to get some tools and put them together! Now I don't know which is which? Can someone help me??
I know I can put one in and see if the CEL light goes on or not but since it takes time for it to go on, that won't help.
This is what they say on the stickers:
1) 7L A18-F57-EOQ 6801
2) J3 A18-H45-E2Y 6Z23
I have a good feeling the 1st one is the 5spd because I wiped it down before I took it out of the bag it was in and it has less dirt than the 2nd one. I just want to see if there is a way to make sure...
