The one on my 99 is bent on the lower right corner where the previous owner jumped a curb and tore the he** out of the front of the car underneath. I replaced everything underneath from the k-frame to the A/C compressor. However, I decided to leave the core support alone. It is bent to sheeyitte, but does not affect anything but slight hood/fender alignment. No rust issues here in Dallas/Fort Worth.

mine has been rusted out for a couple of years now, still driving the car without it fixed. I'm rigging a contraction to hold up the cross member. will take pictures and post when complete.

I just looked at my core support and I honestly have no idea how the core is even being held up. There are literally rust holes all around the bolts. I don't even want to attempt to fix this and I went to school for auto body. I suppose if I had a shop I would.

i just bought a 97 maxima 3 days ago and i just looked under and the bolts arent even connected in any way. the crossmember is just hanging. i would like to replace the whole support where do you buy it and does it have to be welded or just bolt on.

It's an OEM part, get it thru Courtesy Nissan or your local dealer.
www.courtesynissan.com

Small welds on the sides and 3 big bolts hold the support to the frame.

It's about a 4 to 6 hour process.
