Spark Plugs in 95 Maxima

Does anyone know if Nissan started putting in platinum plugs in 95 Maxima's. I bought the car in 1994, have 53,000 miles and still have the original plugs. Could this also be a reason for my car starting up and dying? Had everything else checked and all check out okay. The car does not stall when I'm driving. It may take a try or two for it to start up.

What can I say, I work about 1/2 mile from where I live. Thanks for the information from the other posters.

Really?

If you've been driving your car 1/2 mile back and forth for this long, you're killing it. It never gets a chance to get warmed up and running right. You're better off walking that far than inflicting the damage on your poor Maxima. No wonder it wont start.
