Fog lights

Well before I even got my max the front drivers side foglight was gone (I have it, but the plastic tabs that held it on all managed to break off.

Never bothered to replace it, and now, my passengers side fog light is shattered, I'm not sure how it happened, but I assume it must have been from parking on/in a snowbank (my school has no parking lot so we have to park on the side of the street nearby). Its strange though, all of the reflective foil on the inside has been scraped off.

In any case - seeing that new ones go for $160/piece or so, I'm looking for either a cheaper alternative, either used, or much cheaper from somewhere else.

I really haven't got much money, so I'm thinking about removing the busted one and leaving both of them out -- even though I'd rather not. They really aren't necessary are they, just nice to have?

They are about 115 each on ebay, and your best bet, nothing will look as good as stock on 95-96

you can get them cheaper through certifit.com but, the bad thing is not they are only in certain areas. I don't know where your located but, I would get on their website and see how far away they are from ya. I think you can get a pair for $60 if I'm not mistaking? Just check them out

Here's a question.

If a max already comes with a fog light switch does that mean that all the wiring is included already as well?

the wiring is always included whether you have the switch or not.

The Boston certifit is 30 mins away from me, but sadly they've only got the 97-99 fogs.

I'm not entirely sure as to what I should look for in terms of a junk yard, it seems there should be some around me, but a quick yellow pages search didn't pull up much at all.

have you tried searching junkyards on car-part.com?

I need a passenger 95 fog but haven't had any luck in the Jersey area using it.

Wow, no one seems to have them at all...

I'll probably just end up pulling out the smashed one and leaving it that way, until one floats to the top...

I know what you mean... I don't know if the mounts get brittle due to the cold weather or whatever, but I pull into my driveway and my driver's side fog is just dragging there by the wiring... really pissed me off because I have no idea how it broke and popped out.

Go to junkyarddog.com and submit a parts request. By tomorrow you will have a bunch of salvage yards quoting you prices on that part. I've used them before for parts on a 94' Taurus SHO i had before. Good Luck.

And i know from experience, SHO parts are rare. Buddy of mine has a 94 also, no one sells OEM parts for it.
